Executive Summary

As online retail continues to gather pace in Australia, merchants have significant plans for eCommerce technology investment. In particular, 53% of respondents say the base eCommerce platform is the key investment priority in the year ahead. Likewise, 43% of respondents say content-management tools will be an investment priority in the year ahead. As they choose their tools, Australian retailers should follow the STEP vendor selection methodology, which dramatically improves the selection processes by involving the vendors in responding to real-world business scenarios.
